a group of people engaged in study or work on a creative project or subject for the purpose of learning
The Work-Shop was founded with the intention of creating a beautiful, comfortable space where people can come together to share thoughts and ideas, learn new things, express their creativity and connect with others. The Work-Shop offers programs in art and creativity, spiritual inquiry, holistic health and wellness, and yoga. Sometimes being open to something new encourages us to discover what has actually always been there.
Celia Gordon and Mimma Fico are the founders of The Work-Shop.
Celia has been an attorney for 19 years and, until May of 2015, was a partner at Gottlieb & Gordon LLP, a well respected criminal defense firm in Manhattan where she started as an associate in 1999. Celia currently teaches yoga at The Funky Om Yoga & Wellness in Huntington and Absolute Yoga in Woodbury. She is a 500 hour RYT, having received her 200 hour yoga teaching certification from The Funky Om and her 300 hour yoga teaching certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Celia is presently enrolled in Kripalu's School of Ayurveda and is working toward her 300 hour Ayurvedic Yoga Teaching certification.
